gv 800 V7 - Cant login through internet exporer

I have a gv 800 system v7 installed and it wont connect when i use internet explorer ( it says server connect failed when i type in the password). On the other hand when i use multicam software to connect it connects fine.

Can anyone tell me what the issue could be ?

When you say Multicam software do you mean the Multicam RemoteView
software?

RemoteView does everything through TCP port 3550

Webcam uses TCP port 80 / 4550 / 5550.

I recommend that you check your port forwards for both 4550 and 5550.

It appears that you have the forwards correctly setup for 80 and 3550.

No i mean when i login through internet explorer, it shows the first compression screen and then type of internet connections, and when i type in the user name and password it says connect failed !

I imagine this is a ports issue.

Try the following

From the GeoVision system open Internet Explorer

Go to http://www.canyouseeme.org
test each port (80 / 4550 / 5550)
