DynaColor "DVRPlayer" Problems

Postby antonylord » Mon Jan 19, 2009 1:43 am

Hi there people!

We have a DynaColor DynaGuard 208 8 channel DVR.

We’ve found an interesting problem :

When we give footage and the player to other people and they try to run the DVRPlayer application they get “Remote200.ocx not installed or it couldn’t be installed. Please check user privilege.”

Machines are Windows XP SP3 with Admin class users.

The DVRPlayer works fine on machines that have previously connected to the DVR (obviously having had the needed ocx files installed) but the fact the player doesn’t work on third party machines is a concern!

Can any suggest a solution?

Cheers, Antony.

Hi There

You may need to check any Anti-Virus settings that may be blocking the application. Mcafee is know to cause this problem in some instances with GeoVision. The next troubleshooting step would be to temporarly disable the Anti Virus and then try to install the active X again. You may also need to remove any existing DVR related active X's with your Internet Explorer just in case this was caused by an installation fault when you first installed the Active X.

You can also try adding the IP address or the host name to the trusted sites in Internet Explorer.

I hope this helps.
