Windows XP SP2 Firewall configuration scripts

Postby anindeeta » Wed Feb 17, 2010 6:53 am

How can I switch the firewall on when using the Yazak chat client? After I installed Yazak, it wouldnt work until I switched off the Firewall, it even prompted that it cant run with the Firewall on. What can I do to protect the computer anyway?

You should have the Windows Firewall on to help protect your computer.

Normally, when it is on and a program tries to run the Windows Firewall will ask you if you want to allow it to do so. Try stopping the program you wish to run, enabling the Firewall and then starting the program.
It should prompt you to allow access.

Failing that, get an alternative Firewall software or contact the makes of the software and ask what they suggest in this situation.
