GeoVision Adds Intelligent Digital Object Tracking
GeoVision have released their latest software revision, V8.3.2.
Along with the usual array of enhancements and driver updates there’s one notable feature which stands out from the crowd.
New Digital Object Tracking Feature from GeoVision
I’m referring of course, to the new Digital Object Tracking feature.
This may sound like something you’ve already seen on GeoVision.
Yes, there is already some PTZ Tracking integration features in the software but this digital tracking feature is really designed for those wanting to take advantage of the Multi Mega Pixel IP Cameras that GeoVision supports.
The idea of Digital Object Tracking is the system can look for movement on the camera and zoom into this area without the need for user intervention.
Up to 7 different regions can be monitored at the same time with options to mask out certain areas as well as adjusting sensitivity levels to meet your needs.
Why is this feature so powerful? Well imagine this….
You have a crowded street/car park/room where movement can occur in any part of the screen. If you have a 2, 3, 5+ Mega Pixel camera you will automatically be getting a high enough video resolution to cover this area.
BUT what the Digital Object Tracking feature does is make sure this extremely high resolution camera is earning its keep! By zooming into the areas that matter automatically, this allows a security operator to easily see activity on the camera view and without the need to lift a finger!
